Frequently Asked Questions

How Long Does a Spray Tan Last?

Your spray tan can last anywhere from seven to ten days. However, there are many factors that go into maintaining your brand-new spray tan.

How Can I Make My Spray Tan Last Longer?

To make your spray tan last as long as possible, there are a number of things you can do:

  1. Exfoliate Before Your Spray Tan
  2. Wax Instead of Shaving
  3. Take Shorter Showers
  4. Use Gentles Soaps
  5. Avoid Saunas & Steam Rooms
  6. Apply Gradual Tanner Afterward
  7. Moisturize Daily

Is Spray Tanning Safe?

Spray tanning is safe for clients of all ages. It is the perfect--and healthier--tanning alternative to traditional tanning beds and is FDA-approved. The only areas that should be avoiding during the spray tan process are the mouth, eyes, and nose. Your attendant will carefully apply the spray tan solution around those areas while applying the solution to the rest of your body.

What Should I Wear to My Appointment?

Wear dark, loose clothing--preferably something you don’t mind getting stained. Undergarments should also be loose, and you'll probably want to ditch the bra after finishing your appointment.

When Should I Shower After a Spray Tan?

Ideally, you should wait five to eight hours after the end of your appointment before showering or bathing. PLEASE avoid swimming and sweating at all costs immediately after your appointment, and don't forget to apply moisturizer before your first shower. Any of these things could turn you into a blotchy, streaky mess!

Does a Spray Tan Protect Me from the Sun?

Nope. Our spray tan solution does not contain anything that protects you from harmful UVA and UVB rays. If you're going to be in the sun, slather on the sunscreen after your first shower.
